Her Private Retreat

This primary bath remodel in Chicago was reconfigured for privacy and built as a personal retreat, right down to the details. A blush-toned concrete-coated vanity, handmade washboard tile, an asymmetrical sculptural tub, and a forest-green glass pendant do most of the talking, while a custom mirror mounted to a frosted-glass enclosure keeps the commode discreetly out of view. Art gives the room its final bit of personality, the kind of finishing touch that makes a bathroom feel considered rather than just renovated.
